Ministry Services
At Common Garments Ministry, every act of service is rooted in the love of Christ. We believe meeting physical needs opens the door to share the hope of the gospel. Whether it’s food for the table, clothing for the family, or prayer for the soul, our heart is to reflect the words of Jesus: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” (Matthew 25:35, ESV)

Free Store
Our free clothing store is open to the community each week, offering everyday wear, children’s items, shoes, and household goods. Every guest is welcome to select up to 20 clothing items and 10 household items per visit, ensuring that families have what they need while allowing us to serve as many as possible. Those leading large households may receive additional items as needed. Guests are welcome to return once each month.
We believe that just as Christ clothes us with His grace, we are called to clothe others with dignity. Each item given is more than fabric—it is a reminder of God’s provision and the care of His people.

Food Pantry
Each month, Common Garments Ministry helps distribute more than 30,000 pounds of food across our community. A portion of that comes through our pantry, where families shop in a grocery-style setting instead of receiving a pre-packed box. Guests are free to choose the items that fit their household best, making mealtime feel normal and dignified.
Every household is welcome to visit once per month. The pantry may not carry everything, but each bag given is meant to ease the strain of daily needs and remind families of God’s faithful care. As Jesus said, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger.” (John 6:35, ESV)

Prayer Room
Every food pantry visit begins in our Prayer Room, where guests are welcomed to pause, share their burdens, and receive encouragement and prayer before shopping. This space is not only part of the pantry—it is always available to anyone who comes through our ministry. Free store guests and anyone seeking prayer or spiritual support are invited to let the front desk know, and a volunteer will gladly sit with them.
This room is more than quiet space—it is a place to encounter the comfort of Christ, who said, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, ESV)
